int sds_xdroom (const sds_name entity-name, long *memavail);

Determine how much space is left for EED.

This function reports the amount of extended entity data (or "xdata") space still free in the object identified by entity-name. All objects in progeCAD have 16KB (actually, 16,383 bytes) each to store any kind of user-defined data. This function tells you how many bytes are still remaining.

The argument entity-name is the object name for the object you wish to check.

The argument memavil the amount of memory, in bytes, still available for extended object data.

This function returns RTNORM or an error code in system variable ERRNO.

sds_name EntName;

sds_point Point1;

struct sds_resbuf *EntList = NULL;

long MemLeft = 0l;

ReturnI=sds_entsel("\nPick an object: ",EntName,Point1);

if (ReturnI == RTNORM){

sds_printf("\n %ld bytes are availablefor EED on this object. ",MemLeft);

} else

sds_printf("\nNo object was found. Press Enter to try again.");

EntList = NULL;
