sds_layoutmake

int sds_layoutmake (const char* layoutname, const sds_name entname);

Create a new layout object or make a copy of an existing layout object.

Given the name of an existing layout object and a new layout object, the function creates a new layout object using the existing layout as a template.

The argument layoutname is the name of the layout object to use as a template for creating a new layout object. You cannot use the Model tab as a template.

The argument entname is the entity name of an existing layout object to use as a template for creating the new tab. If this entity name is initialized to NULL then sds_layoutmake will create a new layout from scratch.

The function returns RTNORM if successful; otherwise, it returns RTERROR.

Example

// Must intitialze entname1 to null for sds_layout to create a layout from scratch

sds_name entname1;

sds_name_clear(entname1);

// Create a new Layout3 tab

if (sds_layoutmake("Layout3", entname1) != RTNORM)

{

sds_printf("\nError: Could not create Layout4.");

}

// Create a new Layout4 tab using the current layout (should now be Layout 3) as a template

if (sds_layoutgetcur(entname1) == RTNORM)

{

if (sds_layoutmake("Layout4", entname1) != RTNORM)

{

sds_printf("\nError: Could not create Layout4.");

}

}
