Print - Scale/View tab

Use this tab to specify the portion of the drawing to print, which entities to print, and the scale at which to print.

You can save your selections for the current layout (or Model tab).

Layout Name Displays either “Model” or the layout name to which the print settings apply.

Use Settings Select Current Layout to print using settings from the current model or layout, or select Previous Print to print using settings from the last time you printed.

Save Changes to Layout Select to save the print settings for the current model or layout.

Print Area Select the area of the drawing that you want to print. Current View prints the view on the screen. Saved View prints the selected saved view. Extents prints the area that contains entities in the drawing. Limits prints to the limits defined for the layout or drawing. Window prints the portion of the drawing contained in the specified window, maintaining the aspect ratio of the windowed area to the drawing.

Windowed Print Area If you chose Window for the print area, enter the diagonal x- and y-coordinates of the rectangular area you want to print, or click Select Print Area to select the area on the screen.

Print Only Area within Specified Window Select to print only the area in the window without considering whether there is extra space on the screen.

Entities to Print Choose whether to print all entities within the specified print area, or to print only previously selected entities within the specified print area.

Print Scale Choose whether to scale drawing automatically to fit on one printed page (Scale to Fit), do not scale the drawing (1:1), scale the drawing according to a preset scale (1:2, 1:4, and more), or scale the drawing according to a custom scale factor that you specify (Custom).

User Defined Scale Specify the custom scale for the print area by typing the ratio of drawing units to printed inches or printed millimeters. When set 1=1, does not scale the drawing. This area is available only if Custom is selected for Print Scale.
