Toolbar: Modify > Mirror ()

Menu: Modify > Mirror

Keyboard: MIRROR

Alias: MI

Moves or copies the reflected image of selected entities about a line.


  1. Select the entity you want to mirror.
  2. Select the start of the mirror line.
  3. Select the end of the mirror line.

Select entities to mirror: Select the entities you want to mirror, and then press Enter.

Start of mirror line: Select the start point of the mirror line.

End of mirror line: Select the endpoint of the mirror line. Entities are mirrored about the line created when you specify two points.

Delete the original entities? <N>: To accept the default value, press Enter. To change your response, choose No or Yes. If you choose No, the reflected image is placed into the drawing, and the original entity is retained. If you choose Yes, the reflected image is placed into the drawing, but the original entity is deleted.

NOTE You can use the system variable MIRRTEXT to specify whether you want text mirrored. To change the text direction, set the MIRRTEXT variable to 1; to retain the text direction, set the MIRRTEXT variable to 0.
